My name is Thomas Williams-Kahakai. I was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. I am Tlingit and Inupiaq. I have family from Juneau in the Southeast to Barrow up North. I enjoy learning about my culture and my Native language. My favorite cultural activity is performing NYO. I was previously an NYO coach at East Anchorage High school and I've assisted NYO teams across Alaska. My favorite thing to do is watch my favorite anime, One Piece, and explore the outdoors with my partner. Growing up Alaska Native and later working in outreach positions in our indigenous communities, I've learned how important these positions are and I am happy to be supporting the RIO team.
