My name is Ernestine Andrew and I am Alaskan Native Yupik from Emmonak located on the mouth of the Yukon River.  I grew up living a subsistence lifestyle hunting, fishing, and gathering Native food. During summer months we lived at fishcamp doing commercial and subsistence fishing. And during winter months we used our dog team to gather logs and set traps for furs. I have an Associates degree in Business and Office technology from Alaska Career College and I also have some credits from Alaska Pacific University in Business Administration. Today I am focused on raising my children and helping them achieve their career goals. I also teach them our Native lifestyle so that they can adapt to both the modern and traditional lifestyle.
