Allie Lyn Yatchmeneff
Aang, Aang! Allie Lyn Yatchmeneff is from King Cove and has turned 34 years old. King Cove is a small town at the end of the Aleutian Peninsula, which you can only travel to by boat or plane. She is the eldest daughter of Shelley (Samuelson) Yatchmeneff of King Cove and Allen Yatchmeneff from False Pass. Allie has four younger sisters. The youngest just turned 19 in April. She is Aleut, Norwegian, Swedish, and, of course, Russian. Quite the mixture, she knows.
She has a family of six, her fiancé, and their four children. Her fiance's eldest daughter is 14, her eldest son is 13, and the two sons they had together are 5 & 6. They catch up to each other in age for 16 days and always keep her on her toes.
Allie is a very family-oriented soul; family always has and always will come first. She works full-time at one of her local tribes, the Agdaagux tribe, as the environmental assistant. She enjoys hanging out with the kids for fun and in her free time. The two older ones are getting too old for family time, so she takes whatever time they are willing to give her. They enjoy rides up the new road (their never-ending battle for a highway connecting King Cove and Cold Bay), looking for wildlife. On a good day, one would see bears, porcupines, whales, foxes, salmon jumping, and countless Eagles.
Allie is an open book; ask her anything, and she will answer it! She is a very hard-working and goal-oriented person. She has been working for as long as she can remember, babysitting, commercial fishing, tendering, cannery work, etc. She started off her adult life as a single mom struggling to make ends meet, and from that point on, Allie worked her butt off to ensure her children had everything they needed.
